Hi, I’m Genevieve.

I’ve been through some things—war, trauma, rebuilding—and I’m still figuring out how to make sense of it all. I’m a veteran, a student, a survivor of a suicide bombing, and someone who lives with a TBI and PTSD. I manage it well. But I write from a place that understands what it means to choose life—even when it’s feels like the last choice.

People keep telling me I should write a memoir. Maybe one day I will. For now, this blog is where I write things down as they come: reflections on grief, joy, memory, healing, and the search for meaning after pain.

This summer, I’m researching reconciliation in communities that have lived through deep conflict. I believe there’s something in their stories that can help us understand how to live, how to forgive, and how to find our way forward—or maybe even prevent conflict.
